Blackberry in Indonesia.
Indosat, Indonesia's second biggest cellular operator, as official bundling vendor and operator for Blacberry Storm optimistic with selling of Blackberry Storm although Blackberry Storm has no WiFi. Marketing Director of Indosat, Guntur S Siboro said to local news portal that Indosat offer free browsing with Opera Mini and Facebook social network. So, Blackberry Storm without WiFi is not a big problem.

He also said that Blacberry Storm has different segment. People who work in the office do not need WiFi. Moreover, a lot of WiFi facility only available in certain place and usually crowded with less privacy.

Right now, Blackberry Storm for Indonesian market available and ready stock about 5000 unit for pre order. Unfortunately, the price of Blacberry Storm not yet announced by Indosat. But Indosat claimed that the price of Blackberry Storm not expensive as iPhone 3G.

"Our sales target is to ournumber Telkomsel's iPhone 3G sales. It could even be selling 2,000 iPhone 3G on the launch day only," said Teguh Prasetya, group head brand marketing, Indosat, who was quoted by Detikcom newsportal. Prasetya revealed that Indosat has been delivered 80,000 units of BlackBerry handhelds (25,000 of them are BlackBerry Bold) into the market so far.

iPhone 3G itself has sold nearly 5,000 units through Telkomsel, the country's biggest operator and sole iPhone 3G operator, just a month after its official launch in Indonesia. According to Telkomsel president director Sarwoto Atmosutarno, the company will fight to sell more iPhones this year.

Telkomsel, along with another operator Excelcom, also offers BlackBerry services.
